A message from our Headteacher

ll-welcomeLincoln Castle Academy is a vibrant 11-18 school in which students secure impressive outcomes because of our exceptionally high standards and expectations. Over the years of your son/ daughter's secondary education, the very best teaching, attitude, independent study, enrichment and pride combine to determine their future. It is therefore of the utmost importance to us that we only ever accept the very best from our students.

We are committed to providing an excellent education for every student; we want your child to leave us as a successful, confident individual, ready to make a meaningful contribution to society. Central to our continued improvement is a commitment to maintain the highest standards of teaching and learning through our team of talented and dedicated staff. During lessons, teachers deliver an engaging curriculum, regularly checking students' understanding through probing questioning and challenge. Teachers evaluate student progress and use it to inform their teaching. In addition, staff raise students' self-esteem with praise and through the use of rewards and regular celebration events. Qualities such as resilience, curiosity and independence are promoted through homework, enrichment and competitions, whilst the importance of high aspirations underpins every day of the school year.

Students benefit from lessons tailored to their individual needs and we supplement this approach with additional specialist intervention staff capable of providing extra stretch, challenge or support as required. We monitor students closely, communicating progress information to parents every 6 weeks and above all, we value the 'whole child' for at Lincoln Castle Academy we believe that happiness and success are synonymous. Working in partnership with parents, we ensure students remain on track to achieve their potential. Our students tell us that our teachers 'really care' and as Headteacher of this academy I know this to be true. We believe that with the right support and guidance, every child will succeed at Lincoln Castle Academy. We welcome your support in upholding our core academy values as detailed within this website..
