Six Year 9 students (Ethan Thiele, Megan Baxter, Megan Benson, Liam Parks, Jack Barnfield and Abby Annis) participated in the RP Innovation Challenge organised by Young Enterprise at the Showroom in Lincoln last Friday, 28 April, 2017.
The Challenge involved a tour of the inspiring RS Components Innovation Truck in the morning and the afternoon session incorporated a brief set by RS Components where students were given an existing product (their innovation truck) to enhance. The LCA team was one of six representing a number of Lincolnshire secondary schools. Each team created a 4 minute presentation after which the judge selected a winner.
LCA Team’s presentation was the best! Congratulations to our team winning the region’s RS Innovation Heat.
Our team is now invited to attend the East Midlands final which is held on Tuesday, 6 June at Loughborough University. At the final they will be required to make a 4-minute presentation followed by a dragon’s den style Q&A session. The winning team will receive from RS Components some raspberry pi devices for their school to use.
